We had a charity fund raising event this week end, Read on if you dare LoL
What a week end, a bunch of like minded people meeting up to help raise money for charity by doing what we enjoy doing, fishing.
There was never a dull moment, not a cross word, some big fish landed and some big fish lost, i lost another barbus on peg1.
As usual the local club got some more money out of us, the local quiz master even done a quiz for us, Mark will let everyone know why
It was a pleasure to have Mick from the MS centre fishing with us again, oh and drinking, and boy can he drink
Colin from Ireland made a great effort to join us again this year which was very well appreciated by Mark and the PAD members.
Ian ( St Helens Stan ) provided us with a very welcomed and tasty BBQ, done to perfection Ian mate, a huge thank you from the members of the site.
And once again a big thank you to Mark for his outstanding work in getting this event off the ground once again, a big thank you for all of the PAD members and officials who came and gave us support one fella in particular, Bob Elvin who lightened Marks pockets from the money donated over the the two days :nice1: and put it in a secure place. Also the the repective wives of the officials who gave us support on the quiz night in the club,
I can only say now that the members of this site behaved themselves on the field, no noise for the locals to complain about, the PAD rules were not broken, altho there was a bit of excitement when someone hooked into a large barble LoL, well done lads and Sammy.
Mark will let everyone know the amount that was raised over the week end, :nice1:
Last but not least i would like to thank the members of Fishingposts.com and donating raffle prized, and who gave their money freely
Thanks to my mate Daz for getting me there and back :nice1
We managed to raise £1000.00 for the local MS centre in Nothingham
I think this first pictutre sums up the week end, our mate Colin from Northern Ireland on Tomas the Tank engine while Daz walks away chortling
